Sandi Walker

A Positive Voice For KISD Students and Teachers

As a Mom of 6 Keller ISD students and community volunteer, I’ve seen the great work our schools have done and have seen where we have the opportunity to increase student achievement. With a background in communications, I’m excited to help our district increase community engagement and keep our district intentionally exceptional.

As KISD Place 3 Board Member

Sandi's Priorities for Students and Teachers are:

Maintain Expectations of Excellence

I value an environment where parents feel heard and the School Board holds itself to the highest of standards. I would apply this principle, starting with myself. I would work to create a culture of transparency and expectations of excellency in all we do.

Address Learning Gaps

Keller ISD, like many other school districts across the country, is experiencing learning gaps, specifically when it comes to student literacy. All students deserve the opportunity to graduate high school with the tools and knowledge they need in order for them to become productive members of society.

Advocate for SPED

All students are entitled to a public education, and this includes our most vulnerable population. This is accomplished with the help of very dedicated teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff. Students within Special Education deserve to learn in an environment that will best set them up for success in the future. I believe strongly there is more we can do in regards to funding and resources to better support these students, families and teachers.

Increase Student Achievement

KISD has incredible teachers who are working hard to prepare students for life after high school. I will stand by our teachers and equip them with the helpful resources they need to develop new work programs, trade school opportunities, and certifications through KCAL and the CTE departments for our students.
